2023: Nigeria needs a leader with her developmental interest at heart – Kogi COS

The Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku has opined that Nigeria in the next election needed a leader who has genuine love for the country and has its developmental interest close to heart.
He attested that his principal, Governor Yahaya Bello was such a leader owing to the fact that his love for the country was unparalleled with an undying passion for Nigeria, describing him as a man whom the cap fits to rule in 2023.
The Chief of Staff made this known on Tuesday while speaking at the Town Hall Meeting organized by a Northern support Group, Yahaya Bello Network (YBN) in Lokoja.
He said Nigeria as a Country have been bedeviled with various challenges, stressing that only those who believes in the Country despite its current challenges, could fix it.
The Chief of Staff noted that “For a man to develop Nigeria, he must first believe in Nigeria 100%. we simply need a man that will develop Nigeria for Nigerians. Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello is that single man that believes so much in Nigeria to the extend that he does not have a single foreign account”.
He added “Governor Bello has no building outside the shores of Nigeria, name them, tell the relevant agencies to beam their searchlight on that and return with their findings. Governor Bello believes so much in local contents, he believes in what Nigerians can do to make the Country a better place for us all”
Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu identified attributes of youthfulness, Security consciousness, unifying spirit, among others as some of the determining factors for the emergence of Nigeria’s next President, affirming that Governor Bello was qualified in all ramifications.
He called on youths nationwide to be practical with their agitation for a shift in power to their constituency by obtaining their Permanent Voter Card and as well, performing their franchise during the coming polls.
“We are at a point in Nigeria where Muslims no longer see Christians as brothers, North no longer see South as same citizens, even members of political parties sees rival party as enemy, these and many more are the issues we’re battling with today as a Nation.
He said Governor Bello is prepared to unify Nigeria, explaining that the Governor appointed citizens of the Country from other States including Lagos, Borno, Anambra, Ogun, Kanu, Benue and Kaduna States, who are currently serving in the New Direction Administration.
He said the Governor was concerned about the security of lives and property of the people, adding that his security architecture and model has attracted several accolades from within and outside the shores of the country.
“Despite bordering several States including the FCT, Kogi State is adjudged the safest State in Nigeria today because we have a man who stood his ground and said no to insecurity.
“This is the product that Nigerian Youths are asking for, a tested, certified and undiluted product that is sellable anywhere
“By the time His Excellency answers your calls, you will all hear it, we will go all out at the appropriate time, just go and get your PVC and get set for the deed day” he noted.
