The people of Ogugu ward three in Olamaboro local government area of Kogi state today declared the All Progressive Congress, APC, as their only party of choice ahead of the forthcoming general election.

At the opening ceremony of the APC campaign secretariat today in Ogugu Center which culminated in a One Thousand Man Victory Walk to display support for the party, the people said Governor Yahaya Bello and his deputy, Chief Edward Onoja has made APC very attractive to all, promising to vote Tinubu/Shettima presidential ticket, Senator Jibrin Isah for Kogi East senate, Abdullahi Halims for Federal House of Representatives and Alewo Ujah for state assembly positions respectively.

The Director General, APC PCC, Ogugu Ward 3, Mr. Yunusa Agada in his speech, commended the people of Ogugu district for the open display of support for the APC, adding that they are a people who reward good with good.

Listing the various projects executed by the APC government in the local government, Agada stressed that the forthcoming general election presents to them, an opportunity to vote the party that has brought unprecedented development to the people.

He said Ogugu people have resolved not to fall for the gimmick of opposition parties because they have nothing to offer beyond empty promises. The DG promised that they will deliver block votes for the APC in a way that will discourage opposition from challenging it in court.

Chairman of Olamaboro local government area, Hon. Friday Adejoh said the massive participation of people in the walk has shown the level of acceptance enjoyed by the party in the area.

Friday said Olamaboro is recording all-round development courtesy of APC, and urged the people to remain steadfast in their support and vote massively for the party.

On his part, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja commended the people of Ogugu for their continued support for the party.

He noted that the party’s achievements under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello are monumental, adding that over the years the party has demonstrated a progressive government in terms of infrastructure and social amenities across the state which have direct bearing on the lives of the people.

Represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Political Affairs, Hon. Solomon Omachoko, Onoja said the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is development inclined, describing him as a man who hallmarks a distinguishing characteristic of trustworthiness, adding that he would do well as President of Nigeria.

He called on the people to remain firm in their resolve and vote massively for all the candidates of the party so as to ensure sustainable development.

Earlier, the APC house of assembly candidate for Olamaboro constituency, Hon. Anthony Ujah praised governor Yahaya Bello and Chief Edward Onoja for the numerous infrastructural projects across Kogi East, particularly in Olamaboro local government, adding that the feat is responsible for the massive acceptance being enjoyed by the party’s candidates across board.

He thanked his constituents in Ogugu ward 3 for their support, promising that he would do more if reelected.
