2023: PDP suffers set back in Kogi as ex-LG Chair, over 2000 others defect to APC

As the 2023 election draws nearer, thousands of the Peoples Democratic party supporters from Dekina local government area of Kogi state led by the former Chairman of the Council, Hon. Ndah Usman popularly called (Paddy) yesterday 11th December, have dumped their party for the All Progressives congress APC.

The defectors said their reasons for joining the ruling party is the wonderful performance of Governor Yahaya Bello in ensuring peace and security of the state and the infrastructural development of the state.

Kogi state deputy Governor, Chief Edward David Onoja, who along with other APC leaders received the former Dekina local government Council Chairman, Hon. Ndah Usman Paddy, on behalf of the Executive Governor of Kogi State in the Headquarters Dekina LGA today, described their entrance into the party as a booster to APC in Kogi State.

Chief Onoja, while appreciating and commending the new entrants to the party for their patriotism and wise decision to be part of the devepmental strides of the state, assured them that they are equals in the membership of the APC.

The Deputy Governor called on party faithfuls to embrace and consider the new entrants to the party as family to ensure victory of APC candidates at all levels in the forth coming 2023 elections.

Responding on behalf of his teaming followers, Hon. Ndah Usman Paddy, said he dumped PDP for APC because of the laudable achievements recorded by the current administration in Kogj State led by Alh. Yahaya Bello.

He pledged onbalf of his co defectors of their unalloyed support to the Governor and the party, and promised to work assiduously with other members to deliver APC at all level in the 2023 General Elections.
