2024 Flood: Gov. Ododo Inuagurates Response Team »

Kogi State governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has constituted a 16 member response team in an effort to effectively tackle the menace of flood in the eye of the prevailing increase in water level in the state.

The team is led by the Deputy Governor, Joel Salifu as Chairman and the Executive Secretary of Kogi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Alh Mouktar Atimah as Secretary.

According to the Governor, the lives of every kogite is precious and therefore mandated the team to prevent loss of lives and properties to the bearest minimum.

Stressing further, the Governor assured the team of his maximum support to enable them achieve the mandate given to the team.

In response, the Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu appreciated the governor for his commitment to the people of the state and for always addresing their plight in the case of emergency.

The Deputy Governor further promised on behalf of the team to effectively deliver on the mandate as given to them.
