As part of their commitment to supporting the most vulnerable members of the community, including children in orphanage homes. The spouses of the 21 local government Chairmen in Kogi State visited Stagi Cornerstone Orphanages arm of Yekope and Rehoboth Children’s Home in Lokoja.

Led by the wife of the ALGON and Yagba West Chairman, Mrs. Olokun Helen and her colleagues were warmly received by the management and children of the orphanage homes.

Mrs. Olokun who spoke on behalf of the spouses forum stated that they were impressed by the dedication and commitment of the staff, who are working tirelessly to provide care and support to the children.

“It was heartwarming to see the smiles on their faces and the spark in their eyes, despite the challenges they have faced in their young lives.

“As a token of our support and love for the downtrodden and vulnerable, we have come to donate these items which will help to provide for the basic needs of the children. By the grace of God, we will continue to support the orphanages individually and as a group, and through our local government’s initiatives and programs.

The spouses forum assured the children that they are not alone nor forgotten, they are loved, valued, and deserving of every opportunity to succeed in life, and to never give up on their dreams.

The highly excited children expressed their gratitude to the forum members and prayed to God to continue to guide and bless the Kogi State Governor, the Chairmen and their spouses.

On a final note, Mrs. Olokun noted that we can make a difference in the lives of these children and help them to reach their full potential hence the resolve by the forum to visit as many Orphanages as possible across the State.
