356 days: leadership is call to service – Asuku
…SSG, others pour encomium on COS, describes him as a man of humility
Kogi State Chief of Staff, Pharm. Abdulkareem Mohammad Jamiu has opined that the privileged position of leadership was a call to service and every individual with such privilege must be conscious of posterity.
The Chief of Staff made this remark on Wednesday at the event of his 365 days since his appointment by His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello as his Chief of Staff and also the unveiling of a photobook titled “Asuku:365 days of Great strides as Chief of Staff to His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello”
The Chief of Staff expressed that his Excellency the Governor brought him on board to serve the people and the best he could do was to give back to these people in every capacity, bearing in mind his very humble beginning.
He mentioned that his concern on health and education was born out of his passion to ensure that every life was touched adequately and be better positioned for a better future.
Pharm. Abdulkareem said that the little which he has been able to do within the one year, known and unknown were just attestation of his little effort in contributing his own quota to the growth and development of the state
The COS affirmed that Gov. Bello was leading a cabinet of young persons and boosting the confidence that the youth could actually be the leaders of today as they had all it required to occupy leadership positions.
He used the medium to call on the youths of the country to remain united, focused and not engage in ventures that would endanger their lives or jeopardize their future, noting that the future is truly bright.
The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mrs. Ayoade Folashade Arike in her remark described the COS as a humble leader, who always open his doors for everyone without discrepancy.
She affirmed that Pharm. Abdulkareem is not just only willing to help others at all times, but was always available to give counsels.
She prayed for more wisdom for the Chief of Staff in all his affairs while she encouraged him to continue on such trajectory.
Other guests including Commissioners for Education, Rural Development and water resources as well as other attendees took their turn to pour deserving encomium as many described as a man with a kind and sincere heart.
