8th Assembly: Rector NKFI Congratulates Kogi Assembly Speaker, Deputy
…urge Assembly to facilitate bills that will foster vocational, technical education
The Rector, Nigeria -Korea Friendship Institute, Lokoja, William Charles Oluwatoyin has congratulated the newly elected Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Usman Aliyu and his Deputy, Hon. Enema Paul over their emergence as the leaders of the 8th Assembly.
The Rector in his congratulatory message contained in a press statement on Tuesday described Hon. Aliyu’s emergence as an attestation of his leadership prowess and political strength noting that he has the needed quality to steer the affairs of the legislative arm of the state towards a productive outcome.
The Rector also congratulated the newly inaugurated members of the 8th Assembly of the Kogi State House of Assembly alluding that they have been bestowed with the mandate of their constituents and great expectations have been laid on them.
The Rector however urged the 8th Assembly members and it’s leadership to facilitate bills that will foster vocational and technical education which he noted is a panacea for raising skilful and employable youths in the states.
He added that members should similarly empower young persons from their constituencies by offering them scholarship at this institute, while he assured that NKFI was open to partner with members to achieve this goal which would not be forgotten by members of their constituencies.
The Rector said that Assembly members were mandated by the will of the people to ensure that they represented those who have elected them in securing good dividends and making suitable legislations. He notably added that their synergy with the other arms of the government in the interest of the state must not be joepardised.
