APC Mega rally set to shut down Idah tomorrow »

Idah, the traditional headquarters of the Igala Kingdom, will virtually shut down tomorrow, Saturday the 26th of October for the dual events of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) zonal mega rally and the confirment of chieftaincy titles on the governor of Kogi State and his deputy by the Attah of Igala.

According to information made available to insidestoryng.com by the publicity Committee of Bello/Onoja Campaign Council, the rally will hold at the Steven Achema handball field. it said all arrangements have been put in place to make it a grand success.

Party bigwigs from across the country, including the national chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, APC Governors, national assembly members etc, are expected to be present at this zonal mega rally.

As at the time of filling in this report, Insidestoryng.com can confirm that some governors have already arrived in Lokoja the state capital.

The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, the Deputy Governor, Edward Onoja and Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade Arike will all receive Chieftaincy titles of Oga-Onu-Ogu-Attah Igala Kingdom (OIK), Olimene-Attah Igala Kingdom (OIK), and Omiakele-Attah Igala Kingdom, respectively from the Attah of Igala, and Chairman, Kogi State traditional council, HRM. Michael Ameh Oboni II. The ceremony is expected to take place at the Attah’s palace in Idah.

Meanwhile, Idah has become a beehive of activities as party loyalists from the 21 local government areas have been trooping in to the city, thus boosting business for hotels, food vendors, Okada and taxi drivers most of which are all virtually booked ahead of tomorrow’s events.
