Oworo Ward in Lokoja LGA commissions GYB/CEDO 2019 Campaign Office

Iziho, a small town along Lokoja – Abuja highway on Sunday made a clear statement as to where they were headed in the November 16th Kogi governorship election as APC leadership in the area hosted party eggheads in Lokoja LGA for the commissioning of GYB/CEDO 2019 campaign office.

Opening of the office was at the instance of Comrade Abdullahi Adamu and the Oworo East GYB/CEDO Re – election Youth Vanguard headed by Comrade Yakubu Shado, the President who said in his opening address that they did the commissioning in order to earnestly commence their House-to-House campaigns.

Comrade Shado said his Association decided to open the office in view of the laudable achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello since his assumption of office in Kogi State.

He said the state is lucky to have someone like the Governor whom he described as youthful, detribalised, focused, development oriented and passionate about the entire state, noting that he was a father to the new Kogi State.

According to the President, the state had never had it so good in terms of equitable distribution of state resources, stressing that the Governor understood what development means with his deliberate decision to allocate a good amount of resources to infrastructural development for rural areas.

He said they were particularly grateful to Governor Bello for electrifying communities along Banda to Jamata in Oworo district of Lokoja LGA, a gesture he affirmed, has revamped the resources of people living in the communities and given them socioeconomic upgrade.

Speaking, the member representing Lokoja I State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Isah Umar who congratulated the association for their decision to open the office said it was a clear demonstration of what the people of Lokoja truly are, saying they are known for appreciating every good gesture and their sense of reciprocity.

Also speaking, the Director General of BELLONOJA 2019 Campaign Council for Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon Fancy-jimoh Tiamiyu lauded the group for their foresight and called on them to comb all the communities in their axis to ensure they convince voters to back Governor Bello and His Deputy, Hon Edward Onoja in the November 16th governorship poll.

Other speakers included the administrator of the Local Government, Hon Muhammed Dan’Asabe, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu and others who all voiced their determination not to rest on their oars until Governor Yahaya Bello and his deputy were successfully re – elected for a fresh term.

Also present at the event was Kogi State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon Muhammed Awwal Imam; the SA to the Governor on Job Creation and SMEs, Hon Danladi Aguye; the Lokoja LGA APC Chairman, Hon Maikudi Bature among several others.
