2020 Remembrance Day: Gov. Bello pledge support for Armed forces, family of fallen heroes

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has pledged his government’s continued support for the Armed forces, law enforcement agency and the families of fallen heroes.

The Governor made this pledge today at the commemoration of the 2020 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration at the world war I and ii cenotaph, lokoja.

The Governor charged the living heroes to continue to defend the nation’s sovereignty noting that citizens should support the government in catering for the well being of loved ones left behind by the nation’s fallen heroes.

He similarly implored citizens to maintain law and order stating that security was a collaborative effort of different sectors of the society while he charged the media against the dissemination of falsehood.

The Governor was joined by top service chiefs, representative of Retired Service Men and the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRH Dr. Ado Ibrahim CON as they laid wreaths in honour and remembrance of the nation’s fallen heroes.

The Governor had earlier inspected the guard of honour, signed the hard book and released the white pigeons which symbolises existing national peace
