Engr Ohere applauds Gov Bello for appointing right characters into govt
Kogi State Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr Abubakar Ohere has commended Governor Yahaya Bello for consistently maintaining the tradition of identifying characters and competence as part of considering appointment into political offices.
While speaking on the imperative of security as the bedrock of infrastructural development in the State, Engr Ohere appreciated the Governor for his efforts at identifying reliable characters to man sensitive offices in his administration
Such gesture, he noted, has resulted in efficient performance of the New Direction Administration under the Governor.
Ohere who expressed delight over Government’s effort at addressing security issues in the state noted that the act is an innovation to be emulated by any administration that would subsequently come on board.
Engr Ohere revealed that, the personalities that made up the list are men of character and proven integrity and this will in turn enhance productivity in service delivery.
In his word ‘’ First and foremost, I want to appreciate His Excellency for consistently maintaining this tradition of identifying character competency as part of key criteria of considering employment in any Government engagement. I want to appreciate the Governor for looking inward in making this key selection to the best interest of the State’’
He added, security at the grass root will enhance easy delivery of projects, stressing that infrastructural development can only thrive under a peaceful atmosphere and this will help us to Do More in road maintenance, rehabilitation and other projects to be carried out by our contractors and the ministry itself. According to him, this act of gesture will help him and the ministry in achieving their goals to bring dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
After congratulating the new political appointees, he enjoined them to close rank and work together to form a formidable team that could lay to rest security threats in the State, adding that consulting widely among stakeholders will help to avert costly mistakes that could dent the image of the Government.
