Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources in Kogi State, Engr Abubakar Bashir Muhammed has felicitated Christians and government of the state on the occasion of 2020 Easter Celebration.

He made the assertion on Sunday in a press statement he made available to newsmen in Lokoja.

The Commissioner said the occasion called for somber reflection as it exemplifies the ultimate sacrifice that anyone can make for humanity and urged Christian faithful to use the period to preach love and harmony.

He described the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello as one that has emphasized the need for all office holders to see their positions as opportunity to serve the state, adding that there is need for citizens to imbibe the state virtue.

He described the people of Kogi State as tolerant and peaceful, especially on the basis of religious differences and called on the people to continue on that path for the development of the state.

Engr Bashir therefore used the occasion to extend his greetings to the deputy governor of the state, Chief Edward Onoja and other state functionaries for putting the state first especially at a time like this when the world is dealing with the Coronavirus Pandemic.
