Vigilante, hunters apprehend notorious kidnapper in Kogi »

Local vigilante group in Okehi local government area of Kogi State have arrested a suspected kidnap kingpin identified as Dongo Ariri.

The Notorious kidnapper is said to have been the one terrorising Ayire, Ohuepe, Usungwe, Ihima communities and Kabba road in the central senatorial district of the state.

In a statement issued by King Habib, media aide to the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Yahaya on security matters in Okehi local government, the suspect was arrested during a joint operation led by the security aide to the Governor, Honorable Abdulraheem Ohiare, involving men of Danga local vigilanty and Okehi Local Government hunters.

Dongo, an indigene of Katsina State confessed that his arrest was a big surprise to him, being that he relied so much on the potency of the charm given to him by his mother. He said his capture was an indication that his days of crime had come to an end.

The SSA Security of Okehi Local Government Hon. Ohiare described the arrest as timely. He said the governor of the state has given them all the resources needed and a matching order to weed out criminals within their locality, saying that he is fully committed to that mandate.

He said he will go extra miles in making sure that Okehi local government is made inhabitable for criminals, and advised all criminal elements to leave the local government or face the full wrath of the law.

“I will smoke them out and make Okehi LG a crime free area”. Ohiare said.
