Edward Onoja rewards Local musician who sang Gov. Bello’s campaign jingle

Popularly known as Musampa, Umar Musa, the indigenous Egbira musician who sang the popular ‘APC KOGI SAI YAHAYA BELLO’ campaign song today received cash reward for his effort.

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja handed the sum of N250,000 to the musician through the Director General of GYB-CEDO campaign organization in Lokoja Local Government, Hon. Jimoh Fancy.

Recall that the Deputy Governor, during one of the campaign outings promised to support the business of the musician with the sum of N250,000.

Presenting the cash on behalf of the Deputy Governor, the campaign DG said the reward was in appreciation of the musician’s good work.

He said the amount was in fulfillment of the promise made to the artist, adding that his talent has, and will continue to earn him patronage from the government.

Fancy enjoined youths in the state to be creative, assuring that the government of Governor Yahaya Bello will continue to encourage local content.

Reacting, Musampa appreciated the Deputy Governor for redeeming his pledge. He added that he has enjoyed patronage from many of the officials of the New Direction Government, and promised to continue using his talent to promote peace, unity and progress of the state.
