Buhari unveils 60th Anniversary Logo »

President Muhammadu Buhari who unveiled the Anniversary Logo shortly before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting today described the logo as a product of choice from Nigerians who participated in the selection process.

He noted that the selected option depicts our togetherness; a country of over 200 million people, whose natural talents, grits, and passion glitter like the precious diamond.

Buhari also confirmed that the Diamond Anniversary would be a low key in view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.

Independence Day in Nigeria is celebrated on the first of October. It marks the country’s proclamation of independence from British rule on 1 October 1960.
