Gov. Bello Reiterates Commitment to Reposition Kogi State Economy, Partners Chinese Investors in Gold Processing »

While the euphoria that greeted the recognition of Kogi State as an oil producing State is yet to die down, Gov. Yahaya Bello has done it again by partnering with Chinese investors (SINOTRUST INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO. LTD ), a Gold processing company for the mining and exploration of Gold.

It is no longer news that Gov. Yahaya Bello has vow to reposition Kogi State economically, he has on a daily basis matched words with action.

The Governor in the present arrangement has put in place machinery to utilize a 430 cadastral units of Gold site in an area of Yagba West LGA.

This development which is another milestone, is coming after the good news that President Muhammadu Buhari has given approval to recognize Kogi State as oil and gas producing State.

This development according to the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Bashiru Gegu underscores Gov. Yahaya Bello’s commitment towards revitalization of Ajaokuta steel.

The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals, described Gov Bello as an enigma, insisting that he is a blessing to the economic development of the State.

The Commissioner also thank His Excellency for his interest on Solid Minerals and Natural resources development and prayed for the realization of the GYB2PYB aspiration in 2023.

The Commissioner for Solid minerals who was accompanied in the meeting by Engr Lawal Omeiza Muhammed MD, Kogi Solid minerals processing company Ltd and SSA to the Governor on minerals resources, Engr Yusuf Muhammed, assured the Chinese company of a perfect working relationship and a hundred percent security that is guaranteed.

The Chairman of the Chinese counterpart Mr Alex Wang said, he choosed to partner with Kogi State because of the conducive environment and assurance of security in the state for investment as made possible by Gov. Bello.

More than 2000 youths he pointed out will be engaged directly or indirectly in the activities of the company, assured the government and people of Kogi State of a working partnership that will improve the socio economic development of the State.
