Independence Day: Onyejeocha Congratulates Nigerians – Seeks Greater Commitment To Peace

The Deputy Chief Whip in the House of Representatives Hon (Barr) Nkeiruka Onyejeocha has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s Independence Day celebration.

The ranking lawmaker noted in her message that none but Nigerians would build the nation hence the need to commit to paying the price for national greatness both at individual and corporate levels.

“As we commemorate 61st year as an independent nation, we cannot but continue to remind ourselves that none but ourselves will build our country.” she said.

The lawmaker who is representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency also charged Nigerians to see honesty, equity and fairness as ingredients for nation building.

“Our individual investments in honesty, equity and fairness, hardwork, respect for the rule of law etc must be seen and promoted as veritable ingredients upon which Nigeria’s greatness depends.” She said.

Barr Onyejeocha also noted that it was instructive for every Nigerian to make a renewed commitment to patriotism as the country needed peace and security to attain its full potential.
