In continuation of his industrial tour to companies in Kogi State, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Yahaya Bello on Industries and Productivity Engr. David Oni, in company of Hon. Kunle Ola, Barr. Emmanuel Ayo, Engr Felix Ajayi, today visited Unicane Industries limited located in Jamata, along the Lokoja-Abuja road.

Hon. Sunday David Oni in his dialogue with the General Manager and the Human Resource Manager of the company said his was on a walk-in visit to understand the workings of the company, its staff welfare and to also discuss ways that the company would have more impact on the state.

He stressed about placement of jobs for the indigenes of Kogi State and programmes to encourage the youths of the host community.

The representative of the company spoke on the positive relationship and services they give to the workers including the compensation scheme (Group Life License) which is designed for workers and their family who sustain injuries as a result of the operations while on duty. He mentioned skill acquisition programmes and jobs that the company has always arranged for schools and the youths of the community.

The ccompany commended Governor Yahaya Bello for providing a safe environment for business, adding that unlike what is heard in other states, Kogi State government has been up and doing in ensuring security of lives and properties.

Hon. Sunday David Oni and the team were taken around for inspection as he applauded them for upholding a good and safe environment .
