Okun Apponitees Visit Dangote, Seeks Support on Iluhagba-Egbe Road Rehabilitation
An extraction of Kogi state government appointees and aides to Governor Yahaya Bello, yesterday paid a courtesy call on Dangote Cement Company in a bid to seek for the company’s help with the rehabilitation and construction of the Federal highway along Iluhagba-Egbe route.
The road which has made life uncomfortable for constituents in the area for years, recently gained the attention of the government and well meaning sons and daughters of the area. A palliative is already being initiated by public office holders from the region with the support of the state government.
In other to compliment these individual efforts, the group visited the largest cement factory in West Africa to seek for support in the area of corporate social responsibility.
The group also made a stop over at the palace of HRH Oba Dr. Fredrick D.O Balogun, the Olu Apata of Apata. Where they urged the community to continue in their support for the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello. They assured the people that the government is committed to delivering more dividends of democracy and full inclusiveness in governance, adding that Governor Yahaya Bello is running a government for all.
The community leaders eulogized Governor Yahaya Bello for bringing government presence in terms of physical project to the community after decades of its existence.
