Information Commissioner Charges Heads of Departments On Staff Discipline
The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, has called on the principal heads of the various departments to instill discipline in their staff.
Hon.Fanwo gave the charge during the management meeting of the Ministry in his office.
He said to be successful everyone needs to be disciplined so as to be more productive urging the Acting Permanent Secretary Mr. Boniface Omakoji to make sure that the staff punctually sign the attendance register.
The erudite Commissioner said that there is going to be a compendium of 100 icons adding that more editions of the Doing -More Magazine and Special News Publications will soon commence . He charged the management to be creative and be more productive in their various departments promising to look into all the challenges the departments are facing.
Fanwo added that the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello is known to be upright and transparent expressing his desire to make Kogi State the best in the country.
The Acting Permanent Secretary Mr. Boniface Omakoji, thanked the Management for their support since he assumed office as the Acting Permanent Secretary and promised to do more in discharging his duties adding that he will make sure that the staff are taken care of so as to improve their performance and punctuality appreciating the Commissioner for promoting the state for other states to emulate.
The Director of Information Services Mr Adeniyi Sunday thanked the Commissioner for the encouragement and the provision of working tools to the PROs appealling to the PROs to make sure that their write-ups pass through the editing process and appealled to the Commissioner to look into the establishment of the State Television Station in order to increase information dissemination in the State adding that there is the need to conclude the Town Hall Meetings and compile the programmes for documentation
The DG FM 94 Mr Oyila Ozovehe, the GM Graphic Newspaper Mr Adekolade Samuel,the Director Accounts & Finance Mr John Zekeri, The Director of Graphic Arts Mr Teddy Adegbola, the Director News & Publication Mr Ademu Seidu,Director Budget&Research Mrs Fatima Sanni and the Director Digital and printing Mr Ebenezer Adurudija all enumerated their plans for the year and the Hon Commissioner promised to assist them for the general efficiency of the Ministry.
