Eid-el-Fitri: Chief Onoja Greets Muslim Ummah Nationwide

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja has felicitated with the Muslim faithful across the country on this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

Chief Onoja, whose greetings were contained in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Promise Emmanuel, admonished Muslims to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan and rededicate themselves to love, unity, and togetherness which form the core sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (SAW).

He sued for increased prayers for stability in the country, economic transformation, and peaceful co-existence amongst people of different tribes, faith, and class, asserting that peace remains a precursor to development.

He noted that the 2023 presidential election marks a threshold for the country, calling for increased prayers and support for frontline candidate, Governor Yahaya Bello, whom he said is leading the charge for a rekindled Hope for Nigerians.

Chief Onoja implored Muslims to intensify their acts of charity, love, piety, self-reflection, and sacrifice during and after the celebrations.

”May Allah in His infinite mercy answer our silent prayers, reward our hard work, and grant our heart desires. Eid Mubarak!” he said.
