GYB @47: Edward Onoja celebrates with less privilege

In what is described as a deep expression of appreciation to God for the grace of life and progressive age of a loved one, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja on Saturday fetes the less privilege with food and cash as part of activities to mark the 47th birthday of his principal, Governor Yahaya Bello.

Scores of persons with special needs, the less privileged and the indigents in Lokoja received cash token, food to eat and merry with the celebrant.

Speaking during the outreach, representative of the Deputy Governor, Mr. Benjamin Atomode, said the gesture was in line with the desire of governor Yahaya Bello to always reach out to the less privilege at every given opportunity, adding that this year recorded another remarkable event in the life of the governor which not only placed him on the national radar, but also stamped him as a true patriot and restorer of hope for the nation.

He said Yahaya Bello, despite his age has continued to touch lives positively and as a leader, inculcated in his deputy, the character to always strive to lift the less privilege at all times. Onoja prayed God to sufficiently bless the governor with more wisdom and health to serve the state and continue to be a blessing to humanity.

Beneficiaries who were elated to share in the joy of the governor praised Chief Onoja for always remembering the less privilege. While commending Governor Yahaya Bello for his love towards the less privilege through in policy of inclusiveness, they prayed for God’s guidance and protection for him as he begins another natal circle.
