At CEFN 40th Anniversary, Chief Onoja says God set to do a new thing in Kogi state
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief (Dr) Edward Onoja has called on Kogites to continue to pray for the peace and unity of Nigeria with an assurance to believe in God for greater things to come for the State.
He stated this on Friday during the 40th Anniversary of the Christian Evangelical Fellowship of Nigeria (CEFN) held at its Headquarters in Anyigba, Dekina LGA of the State.
Chief Onoja who spoke at the event themed: “God’s Grace, Goodness, and Glory,” congratulated the CEFN on the milestone of 40 years, recounting its significance from various biblical accounts.
He expressed that Nigeria will rise above its current challenges to fulfill its divine mandate, and called for continued prayers for his Principal, Governor Bello, whom he said, inspires a leadership of peace, respect and tolerance in the State.
He recalled that Governor Bello broke a 28 years jinx by building a Chapel for Christian worship in the Kogi State Government House which is one of his many uncommon achievements gained through prioritizing competence, character, and capacity for development.
While noting that he remains a testimony to God’s providence and favour over the years, Chief Onoja encouraged the CEFN General Overseer, Rev Dr David Usman to persist in his efforts of propagating the Gospel, assuring of his continued support of God’s work.
Earlier, the CEFN General Overseer, Rev Dr David Usman appreciated the Deputy Governor for his numerous Church-friendly dispositions. He led other clergymen and the congregation in praying to God to grant Chief Onoja his heart desires and open vistas of opportunities for him to grow in higher capacities.
