Edo NYCN Election: Former NYCN President, Oladele Nihi Congratulates Chairman-Elect, Igunbor Sarah on Victory
Following the outcome of the just concluded National Youth Council of Nigeria, Edo State Chapter elective congress in Benin-City on Wednesday, 30th November, 2022, former President of the apex youth coordinating body in Nigeria and incumbent Vice President West Africa, Pan-African Youth Union (PYU), Dr. Oladele John Nihi has congratulated Comrade Sarah Igunbor; as he described the election process free and fair.
While also congratulating the entire Edo Youths for ensuring the emergence of a credible candidate, he stated that it is highly commendable to have a woman steering the affairs of Edo Youths, and thereby implored the replication of such enabling environment for women inclusion in leadership roles across board.
“Winning is only but the beginning. As the state’s number one youth in leadership and representation, I charge you to make the most of this rare and golden opportunity conferred on you in absolute trust. Be dutiful, diligent and progressive in your dealings; in utmost fairness, justice and equity to the welfare of the constituents that you represent” – Dr. Nihi admonished the Chairman-Elect.
Comrade Igunbor Sarah had then after being declared winner, paid a courtesy call on the state’s Commissioner for Youth and Gender Issue, and other principal officers of the ministry including the permanent secretary; which many has described as a good start.
