APC Muslim-Muslim ticket not to undermine Christians – Onoja

The Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja has explained the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC for the next month’s Presidential election, saying the move is not to undermine Christians in Nigeria.

Chief Onoja, who stated this while speaking during Olamaboro APC town n hall meeting in Ogugu Center said, a President of a Nation is not elected to conduct Sunday services or juma’at prayers but to secure, develop the Nation and prosper the people.

The Deputy Governor noted that the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a politician that Nigerians need to usher in more development to the Country, pointing out that he has the capacity and competence to lead the country to enviable heights.

He concluded by saying the liberal and tolerant nature of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu whose wife is not just a Christian but a Pastor and children Christians who are allowed to practice Christianity clearly indicates his liberalism as against being a fanatic. He counsel that what the body of Christ needs now is to sit at the negotiation table as to what Tinubu/Shetima has for Nigerians that aligns with our faith.

He urged Nigerians to vote for competence and capacity in the next month’s presidential election which he said Tinubu posses, stressing that the APC presidential candidate through his sterling leadership style laid the foundation for the development of Lagos State when he was the Governor.

Chief Onoja commended the efforts of his Boss and principal, Governor Yahaya Bello for building the party to the admiration of all since 2016, noting that the victories recorded by the party in past elections are unprecedented.

The Deputy Governor equally said the achievements of Governor Bello in the state and Ogugu District in Olamaboro Local Government Area where he hails from are highly commendable and appreciated his developmental strides.

According to him, the quality of road construction by the state government in Ogugu is outstanding and urged the stakeholders to work tirelessly for the victory of all the party’s Candidates in the forthcoming Elections.

He assured that Ogugu District will be the first to vote APC in the forthcoming general elections.

Present at the Meeting include Kogi State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker, Alfa Momoh Rabiu, Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government, Friday Nicedimous Adejoh, Kogi State APC Secretary, Joshua Emmanuel Onoja, Ward Executives from Ogugu District among others.

The town hall meeting featured presentation of the APC Candidates by Kogi East APC Campaign DG, Hon. Alfa Momoh Rabiu to Kogi State Deputy Governor on behalf of Governor Bello.

The Candidates are Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho Kogi East, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims Ankpa Federal Constituency, and Hon Anthony Alewo Ujah Olamaboro State Constituency.
