David Oni Sunday receives Chieftaincy Title of Bobagunwa of Irunda Land
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Eagles Engineering Earth Services, Engr. Ogbeni David Oni Sunday, has been conferred a chieftaincy title in recognition of his contributions to the welfare and development of his hometown, Irunda.
The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Yahaya Bello on Industries and Productivity was honored today with the title of Bobagunwa of Irunda Land. To now be referred to as Hon. (Engr) Chieftain David Oni Sunday.
The traditional ruler, HRH Oba David Gbaiyero, the Alasi of Irunda Ile, said the decision to honour David Oni was necessary considering his contributions to Irunda community.
According to him, the council approved the conferment of the title in recognition of his enormous contributions which he exemplified through the provision of twenty solar powered streetlights, cash empowerment to widows and artisans in the community.
Responding, David Oni Sunday commended the traditional ruler for the title, and assured the monarch that he would continue to do more for the good of humanity.
The SSA said he would remain committed to the development of the Irunda community and would not relent in ensuring that the community continues to progress.
He appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello and his Chief of Staff, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku for providing him with a platform to make impact and for mentoring him to always give back to the society.
