Suspension Of NWC Member: Gov Bello Urges Governorship Aspirants To Shun Divisive Tendencies

The Kogi state Governor has urged all the gubernatorial aspirants of the All Progressives Congress to shun divisive tendencies and bickerings that could undermine the peace and unity that the party is known for.

In a press statement signed by the commissioner of Information and Communications, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, he noted that the governor’s attention has been drawn to series of publication on the suspension or not of a member of the All Progressives Congress who is also a gubernatorial aspirant.

The Governor as the party leader according to Mr. Fanwo in an attempt to wade in has directed all the aspirants in the forth coming governorship primaries in the state to focus on their strengths in wooing party members and refrain from any negative activity in the interest of the party.

The governor according to the commissioner would ensure a fair playing ground for the best candidate to emerge in the primary election assuring that the party as a united entity win the governorship election in November with a wide margin.

Mr. Fanwo however pointed out that the governor’s wading in does not invalidate the suspension or otherwise of Mr. Muri because it falls within the jurisdiction of the party executive, stressing that he was only suing for peace and wants all aggrieved parties to sheathe their swords.
