3 Years of Historic Journey as Rector, KSP, My Profound Appreciation
Three years ago today (7th April, 2020), I had the honour and privilege of taking over the affairs of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, as Acting Rector. A year later, I was confirmed as substantive Rector.
It was a huge honour conferred on me by His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State.
To the glory of God, it has been three (3) years of challenges which were largely surmounted through tireless devotion, team work and support from within and without.
In spite of the challenges we inherited, we were resolved to pursue and accomplish our 3R mantra of “REPAIR, REFORM and RESTORE”, and today, we are proud of the progress we have made as a consequence.
In all modesty, the world can testify that the fortunes of the institution is on the upward scale.
Indeed, it has been a staggeringly and positively eventful journey, so far.
I must continue to thank and appreciate His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, not only for the thrust of the challenging responsibilities, but for also making the job much easier for me.
For once, he has never interfered in the internal affairs of the Polytechnic administration since I came on board.
While I thank God almighty and His Excellency for the remarkable journey so far, I must admit that this is not yet a moment to unveil the edible (and not too edible) fruits of the historic journey.
By the grace of God, our score card shall be unveiled at the next Convocation Ceremonies of the Polytechnic scheduled for the 5th August, 2023.
Once again, I remain appreciative to God and His Excellency, the Visitor, members of Governing Council, Principal Officers, Management, staff and students of the institution for the support too numerous to mention.
God bless you all.
