Pharm. Asuku Play Host To Eleojo Igala Women Group

… Pledges support to increase efforts for governorship poll

The Chief of Staff to the Kogi State governor, Pharm. AbdulKareem Mohammad Jamiu Asuku played host to representatives from the Eleojo Igala Women Group, ahead of upcoming election in Kogi State. The meeting provided a platform for both parties to pledge their dedication to a shared vision, promising unwavering support and intensified efforts to promote women’s participation and support in the upcoming election.

The Chief of Staff, stated that the November 11th election is one that must be won for the APC, he assured the group of the incoming governor’s unwavering support, while promising support for their mobilization efforts.

The COS emphasized the importance of women representation in politics and the role women play in shaping the nation’s future, stating that women’s support in any election can never be overemphasized.

“The Governor Yahaya Bello administration has shown commitment to fostering an inclusive democracy, one that truly represents the diversity of our society. Alhaji Usman Ododo as a strong stakeholder in the administration and soon to be governor recognizes the invaluable contribution of women to our state’s progress and he is wholeheartedly behind you all,” he assures.

In response, the coordinator of the Eleojo Igala Women Group, Mrs. Fatima Abu, expressed her gratitude for the Chief of Staff’s promise of support. She reiterated the Igala women’s dedication to working tirelessly to canvass for votes through grassroots mobilisation, reiterating that they understand the Chief of Staff’s “tell one to tell ten” mandate, promising to support Ododo fully as the Chief of Staff has asked them to.

“We are thrilled to have your backing in our drive to canvass for votes and support for the APC and Ododo. Our commitment is stronger than ever, and we pledge to redouble our efforts to engage, educate, and empower women in our villages to take on active roles in the upcoming election via voting at the polls come November 11th” she declared.
