Dr. Usman Ogbo, Other Stakeholders From Kogi East Reaffirm Loyalty, Commitment to APC
…as DG Campaign holds strategic meeting with stakeholders
Critical stakeholders and top stalwarts of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) drawn from the nine (9) Local Government Areas of Kogi East Senatorial District have on Wednesday unanimously reaffirmed their commitment to the candidature of Alhaji Ododo Usman Ahmed who is flying the flag of the party in the November 11 governorship election in the state.
The meeting organized by the Director General of Kogi East Campaign Council, Rt Hon. Rabiu Alfa Isiaka was held at the resident of the Minister for Steal Development and Director General, Kogi APC Governorship Campaign Council Hon. Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu at Ogbonicha in Ofu Local Government Area.
The strategic meeting aimed at securing seamless victory for the APC candidate at the November 11 governorship election was attended by the Director Planning and Research for Kogi APC Governorship Campaign Council Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, National and State Assembly Members, Local Government Chairmen, appointees of the state and local government, APC Chairmen, Women Leaders, amongst others.
Dr. Usman who spoke with the media after the meeting reiterated that Kogi is an APC state having had wonderful outings in the last presidential, senatorial and state assembly elections, expressing optimism that the APC candidate will win Kogi Guber election overwhelmingly.
Speaking in turns, the stakeholders reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to resuscitating the moribund critical national infrastructures like the Ajaokuta Steel Complex, saying the project will have the capacity to employ 500,000 Nigerians once designated as a free trade zone.
Striking out ethnic agenda, they enjoined the people of Kogi East to clean up their voter’s cards and turn out in numbers to vote for the candidate of the APC in the November 11 governorship election whilst re-echoing vice President Kashim Shettima that, Kogi in particular being a confluence state, cannot afford to have a governor who is hostile to the center and so, vowed not to leave any stone unturned to ensure overwhelming votes for the party during the polls.
Addressing the stakeholders, DG APC Campaign Council, Hon. Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu reiterated President Tinubu’s determination to reposition the nation in its rightful place, especially as it borders on restructuring and stimulating the Nigerian economy.
He said, Ajaokuta Steel company has the carrying capacity of employment of 500,000 persons and as member of Federal Executive Council (FEC), “I have access to President and that the natural endowments of Kogi State would be harnessed for the development of the state and the nation”.
Prince Shuaibu urged Kogi East critical stakeholders to connect with the grassroot towards ensuring that electorates come out en masse on November 11 to vote for the candidate of the APC, Ahmed Usman Ododo, in order to consolidate on the achievements of the APC government in the state.
He noted that APC is Kogi and as such sued for immediate dislodging of ethnic propaganda that is driven by emotions.
He further appealed for unity, peace, and sustained tolerance at all times just as he charged them to remain committed to the government under the leadership of Alhaji Yahaya Bello, which he noted was responsible for his nomination as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
