Dr. Ogbo assures APC will record significant success in next week’s Kogi guber election
In an effort to further strengthen the winning prospects of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in next Saturday’s election in Kogi State, the party’s Director of Research and Planning in the Campaign Council, Dr. Salisu Usman Ogbo has stated that the success of the intense round-off of the ward rally held in Ankpa Local Government was an indication that the party has the goodwill of the people and is ready to record significant success at the poll.
The Ward Rally round-off, which was held on 5th November 2023, saw Ankpa Township Ward electorates including women and youths enthusiastically participated in large numbers to embrace APC’s Consolidation and Continuity mandate.
Addressing the large crowd at the rally, Dr. Ogbo expressed confidence that APC would coast home to victory in the November 11 election, based on its antecedents and with the caliber of men and women in the party.
He added that the rally served as a unifying force for APC’s victory, noting that the turnout across the thirteen (13) wards of the Local Government signaled APC’s readiness for victory.
Dr. Ogbo reassured the electorates that Alhaji Ododo’s administration would bring about uncommon transformation in the local government and the state at large when voted into power, describing him as a leader with a clear-cut vision to better the lives of the people.
Ankpa Township Ward, which was the last in the series of the ward-to-ward rally, has forty-nine (49) polling units and the largest voting strength in Ankpa Local Government.
Various stakeholders present at the ward-to-ward rally included Deputy Majority Leader, House of Representatives, Hon. Abdullahi Halims, Former Deputy Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly representing Ankpa I, Hon. Mohammed Ahmed, immediate Past Deputy Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Rabiu Alfa Isiaka, Ankpa Local Government Chairman, Hon. Ibrahim Abagwu, House of Assembly Member, Ankpa I, Hon. Lawal Akus, Ankpa Township Ward Chairman, Hon. Danladi Negedu, state woman leader, among other critical party stalwarts.
