Ododo Receives Chief Babayemi Olorunfemi on a Courtesy Call
Chief (Rtn) Babayemi Olorunfemi paid a congratulatory visit to His Excellency Ododo Ahmed Usman, the Governor Elect of Kogi State, to commemorate his remarkable victory in the recently concluded gubernatorial election. As the Convener of the Babayemi Vanguard Support Group for Ododo/Joel, Chief (Rtn) Babayemi Olorunfemi expressed his belief in His Excellency’s ability to deliver optimum performance and implement significant governance reforms.
During the meeting, Chief Babayemi emphasized that Ododo’s victory on November 11th was a result of his widespread acceptability across all sectors of the state. He also took the opportunity to extend his gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello for his unwavering support and exceptional performance during the election. Chief Babayemi commended Bello for his commitment to the state’s interests and his role in fostering continuity and sustainability.
In response, the Governor-elect, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman expressed his appreciation to Chief Babayemi Olorunfemi for his unwavering support and deep affection for him and the entire state. He assured Chief Babayemi of an open and inclusive system of governance, emphasizing his commitment to ensuring that every part of the state feels the presence and impact of the government.
Ododo also acknowledged the pivotal role played by the Babayemi Vanguard Support Group in his campaign in the Kogi West Senatorial District. The group’s activities in the seven local government areas of the district, which began on June 29th, 2023, contributed significantly to the success of the party through grassroots engagement, sensitization, and the distribution of campaign materials.
In attendance at the meeting was Hon. Sani Egidi Abdulraheem, the representative of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives. Hon.
