Kogi NYCN Suspends Zonal Chairman, 2 others »

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State chapter has suspended three of its executives over allegations of “factionalizing the state council with the impeached and expelled Usman Ogohi Samuel”.

The ssuspended members are the Vice Chairman (East), Comrade Okpanachi Ameh, the Director of Programs, Comrade Olusola Abe, and the Organizing Secretary (East), Comrade Abdullahi Isah.

In a statement signed on Tuesday by the Acting Chairman of the council, Comr. Osiako Sunday and made available to journalists in Lokoja, the actions of the trio allegedly violated Article 21.1 item 7 & 9 (Conduct likely to Cause Disaffection and Creates a Parallel Youth Council) of the National Youth Council of Nigeria’s Constitution.

He noted that a resolution of the Council also set up a three man investigation committee with the following individuals:

Eniola Olayemi
Mamood Muhammed
Muhammed Ozi
to look into the allegation and report back in 48hrs.

“By this resolution, Comrade Ameh Okpanachi, Vice Chairman East; Comrade Olushola Abel, Director of Programmes and Abdullahi Isah, Organizing Secretary East stand suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.” the statement added.
