Ofu LG Chairman releases names of council members, charges them to be responsible
The Chairman of the Ofu Local Government Area, Hon. Hassan Atawodi, has appointed the secretary and members of the Ofu Local Government Area Council. The appointment, which is statutory under the law that establishes the caretaker act, is necessary for the disbursement of the dividends of democracy in the local government.
Hon. Hassan, who was recently appointed by the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Dr. Yahaya Adoza Bello, CON, early this month, swung into action to appoint people that will help him achieve his six-point agenda. He congratulates the newly appointed members and urges them to be responsible in discharging their duties with every sense of responsibility.
“I want to congratulate you on your well-deserved appointment. By this appointment, you have become a servant leader who is to serve and not to be served. This appointment is for OFU people and not for your immediate family. You must work hard to justify the reason for which you are appointed. I need you to be loyal to our party, the APC, and sincere about your core objectives. This appointment is not for you to raise your shoulder in euphoria, but for you to discharge your duties with the fear of God and love for your people,” he said.
