Full Text of Okehi Transition Committee Secretary, Mathew Avabee Inauguration Speech
Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, and fellow public servants,
The Active Caretaker Chairman of Okehi, Hon Monday Eneji Amoka, The Appointed Supervisors , our revered Traditional Rulers, our dedicated party Chairman, Hon Sunny Printer, the woman leader, party leaders present, our mothers , the great youths of okehi LG, ladies and gentlemen .
First, I want to appreciate my maker , the king of kings who made today possible.
Today, I stand before you, filled with immense gratitude and humility, as I accept the honor and responsibility of serving as the Secretary of Okehi Local Government. I extend my deepest appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for entrusting me with this role. His unwavering commitment to youth inclusivity and people-centered governance has been an inspiration to us all.
I want to also congratulate the incoming Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, on his forthcoming imminent inauguration, and express my enthusiasm to work hand in hand with the incoming administration for the greater good of our state and people.
I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge our caretaker Chairman of Okehi Local Government, Honorable Monday, I assure him and everyone present that my dedication to public service is resolute, and I pledge to work tirelessly alongside with him and team to fulfill the aspirations of our people.
A heartfelt appreciation goes out to our esteemed political leaders, Her Excellency Hajiya Amina Yahaya bello, her Excellency Hajia Hafiza Bello, Honorable Salami Ozigi Deedat, Honorable Yakubu Adabenege Fancy, Honorable Zakari Otokiti, Honorable Mukhtar Atima, Honorable Diet Atimah, and many others. Your unwavering faith in me is a source of great motivation and reassurance. I also extend my gratitude to my dear wife, my extended family, dear friends, generous supporters, and well-wishers for their unyielding support, which has propelled me to this pivotal point in my career.
As I embark on this noble endeavor, I want to acknowledge the immense challenges that await us. However, I am equally cognizant of the tremendous opportunities for progress and positive change. I would be remiss if I didn’t commend the hard work and dedication of those who have preceded us, particularly the immediate past chairman and his team. We are inheriting a strong foundation upon which to build, and we must learn from their successes and experiences as we forge ahead.
To the incredible public servants who work diligently behind the scenes, I extend my heartfelt appreciation. Your unwavering commitment to our Local Government is the backbone of our collective progress, and I implore you to continue demonstrating dedication and excellence in your service.
In this moment, I would like to pay tribute to the legacy of my late grandfather, Musa Onsachi, and my late father, Matthew Tunji. Their exemplary lives have shaped me into the person I am today, and I carry their teachings with me as I embark on this political journey.

In closing, let us remember that true leadership is not defined by titles, but by the impact we have on the lives of those we serve. With hope, compassion, and a shared vision for a better tomorrow, we will pave the way for a brighter future for our beloved Okehi Local Government.
