Gov Ododo at KSU Kabba, expresses satisfaction with ongoing projects
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has expressed satisfaction with the level of work on ongoing projects in the newly established Kogi State University Kabba.
The Governor alongside top government officials who were at the institution on Tuesday to inspect projects promised to invest more and to consolidate on achievement recorded by his predicessor on education.
Governor Ododo who was very excited with the warm reception he received from students, staff and indigenes of Kabba community noted that his administration will continue to serve the people with transparency and sincerity.
His words “We are determined to ensure value for our money. As you know, education is the foundation for any country to develop.
”For every society that aspire for greatness, you must invest in education. This is the aspiration of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, Mr President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu under his renewed hope agenda.
”Our campaign promises are to consolidate and continue with the achievement of the last administration. We are to serve and not to be served. We are to give and not to take. We thank God with the level of the projects done in the university. I am satisfied with the quality of the job so far.
“I sincerely appreciate all the contractors for giving us their commitment to make sure the projects are completed in the next three month. As you can see, their payment has been approved and starting from tomorrow, the payment will start impacting in their assignment. We are not going to leave any stone unturned in ensuring that all project are completed in this institution.” he noted.
Earlier in his remarks, the Vice Chancellor of KSU Kabba, Professor Kehinde Eniola thanked Governor Ododo for the quick release of funds to execute projects in the university.
The pioneer Vice Chancellor commended the governor for continuing the good work of the previous administration.
He noted that the institution needs more accomodations for Students, more lecture hall, laboratory lab, studio for performing art student, CCTV cameras and patrol vehicle for security surveillance, coaster bus, perimeter fencing, 500kvA generator set and solar power, more TETFUND intervention grant to complete all ongoing projects in the institution and many more.
The Governor and his team had earlier inspected ongoing projects such as Library, senate building, lecture theatre, road projects amongst others.
