The Secretary of Okehi Local Government, Hon Matthew James Omeiza has commended the Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo for his decisive steps towards consolidating on the gains of his predecessor.

Governor Ododo who was at Kogi state University Kabba earlier to inspect the ongoing projects at the campus also stopped by to inspects the over 6km road under construction in Eika district of Okehi Local Government Area that was awarded to TEC construction company by Former Governor Yahaya Bello last year.

The Governor expressed his satisfaction for the level of work done so far by the contractors and also approved more funds for the speedy completion of the projects .

Hon. Mathew said the Usungwe-Okaito- Obangede road under construction will help farmers in Eika district and promote the socio economic activities of Ebira land.

He further eulogized the Commissioner For Local Government And Chieftaincy Affairs Barr. Salami Momodu Ozigi Deedat and the Local Government Auditor General, Hon. Yakubu Adabenege (Fancy), for their roles in attracting the laudable projects to the people at the grassroots. He reassured the people of Kogi State to be hopeful of more meaningful projects from the government of Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo.
