Dr Ogbo Salutes Kogi East APC Youths for Rejecting Ethnic Politics

Barely one week after commending the Kogi East Critical Stakeholders for passing vote of confidence on Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and Ex-Govornor Yahaya Adoza Bello, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman has, again, saluted the decision of the Kogi East APC Youths Movement for rejecting ethnic politics in Kogi State.

Dr Ogbo who made the commendation in Lokoja said the courageous decision of the group was an indication that not all youths in Kogi East are ready to be victims of cheap tribal blackmail championed by the android generation.

He equally commended the group for not sitting on the fence and follow the trend of spiral of silence founded on the altar of cyber intimidation and assault of adults and young ones alike.

He stressed that Igalas are noted for using their majority to accommodate others and promote unity in diversity, and not using same to intimidate others into submission as erroneously being propagated by the android generation.

Dr Ogbo cited the age long practice of inter-tribal marriage by the Igalas, Ebiras and other ethic nationalities in the state as a trademark of that sense of oneness and inclusivity.

He therefore, warned the android generation against the baseless fanning of embers of ethnicity which is dangerous and capable of isolating the Igala race from the rest of the State.

“The Igalas should look inward to address the root cause of problems faced by the people instead of pointing accusing fingers at outsiders who have no hands in such problems”, he stressed.

He urged the people of Kogi East to embrace the government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to attract more development, adding that the government is poised to ensure the welfare of all, irrespective of ethic background or any other form of persuasion.

He cited the commencement of work at the erosion site in Ankpa as a reflection of Governor Ododo’s commitment to the development of Kogi East in particular and Kogi State in general.
