Senator Ohere Congratulates Governor Ododo On Tribunal Victory
- Urges opposition to accept defeat, join hands to build a better Kogi State
Senator Abubakar Ohere has extended his congratulatory message to Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo on his tribunal victory.
Reacting to the court verdict, Sen. Ohere said the victory is an affirmation of the will of thousands of Kogites who filed out to cast their ballots for the APC and Gov. Ododo as their choice.
Sen. Ohere in a statement he personally signed, said Kogites had spoken through the ballots and the Court has also validated the citizens’ decision by judicial pronouncements, which upheld the victory of Governor Ododo during the gubernatorial poll.
The Senator said thousands of Kogites were not in doubt as regards the mandate freely given to Governor Ododo to steer the ship of Kogi State for four years based on his track records and laudable achievements.
He said: “What we are witnessing today is the beauty of democracy and the rule of law.
“Now that the election and the results have been upheld by the Court. I hope they will do the needful.
“I congratulate Gov. Ododo on his well-deserved victory.
“I also congratulate the leadership and members of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, and all Kogites at home and in the Diaspora on this very landmark judicial victory.”
He enjoined all the oppositions and other Kogites across the party divide to team up with Governor Ododo to deliver the dividends of democracy to Kogites through the Renewed Hope agenda as the judicial verdict is a victory for democracy and the rule of law.
