Ododo’s SA Energy, Bode Adeyemi Hails Passage of Electricity Regulation Bill

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi State on Energy Resources, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has congratulated the state House of Assembly over the passage of bill seeking the establishment of Kogi electricity market, regulatory Commission, saying it is a new dawn to boosting Industrialization, entrepreneurial development, SMEs growth and general wellbeing of the people through energy availability apart from the sector’s potential to drive internally generated revenue for the state.

The passage of the bill on Wednesday is sequel to a report presented to the hallowed chamber by the House joint committee on physical planning, regional, urban and rural/energy development and Judiciary, Justice and Legal matters.

Reacting to the passage in a statement on Thursday, Omoluabi said this piece of legislature opens a new vista towards boosting the economy of Kogi and creating employment to get the teeming youths of the state gainfully engaged.

The Governor’s aide remarked that enormous potentials in the energy sector will be unlocked and the IGR capacity of the state raised.

“I want to congratulate His Excellency, the visionary governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, the leadership and members of Kogi State House and Assembly and all indigenes of our great state for this laudable achievement which again has set us on the pedestal of a progressive state.

“This a landmark achievement that will not only provide the pathway to the availability but accessibility and affordability of energy for domestic and industrial use of our people.

“With this, we are poised for an accelerated development that will fight poverty and create prosperity and wealth for our people”, he noted.
