Lokoja LGA Caretaker Chairman Visits Victims of Fire Outbreak »

The Lokoja Local Government Transition Committee Chairman Comrade Abdullahi Adamu has visited Jamata to commiserate with the victims of a fire outbreak.

The Caretaker Chairman who was received by HRH Mallam Alhassan Yakubu, The Okatama of Jamata sympathized on behalf of governor Ahmed Usman Ododo with the royal father and affected residents and business owners.

Comrade Abdullahi Adamu while addressing the victims stated that Governor Ododo has been informed of the unfortunate incident and has directed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to visit and bring relief to the victims.

The Chairman thanked the Governor for prioritizing the welfare of Kogites especially the victims of natural disasters and those in distress.

The fire outbreak which was caused by a gas cylinder explosion in the early hours of Wednesday razed many houses and shops in Jamata leaving several families in ruins.
