Data Revalidation: KOSSIPA Coordinator Visits Lokoja LG Chairman »

The Coordinator of the Kogi State Social Investment Programme Agency (KOSSIPA), Hajiya Aisha Oyiza Amade today paid a working visit to the Caretaker Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area Comrade Abdullahi Adamu.

The visit according to the Coordinator is to intimate the Local Government of the plan by the Agency to revalidate all the Data of beneficiaries of their programmes, and to synergize with the council Chairman on the data capturing.

“His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has granted our request to revalidate and update the data of beneficiaries across the State. To that end, we have created a platform to ease the process of gathering data of target beneficiaries,” she added.

She appealed to the Caretaker Chairman and all relevant Stakeholders to collaborate with the agency to ensure that more Kogites are captured.

In his response, the Lokoja Local Government DLG, Alh. Aliyu Musa Omuwa applauded the innovation noting that it would ensure that residents in the hinterlands are captured unlike in the past where enumerators concentrate only in town thereby neglecting the poor and vulnerable indigenes in the Communities outside Lokoja town.

The Chairman in his remarks welcomed the idea of updating the Agency’s data. He noted that such exercise would help to bring in more people who are in need of the numerous support rendered by the agency.

Comrade Adamu assured Hajiya Aisha Oyiza Amade and her Agency of the Local Government’s Cooperation. “This is a welcomed development and I am not surprised because you are grassrooter who believes in creating opportunities for those in the grassroots.”

“On our part, we will aggressively sensitize our people to register, especially those in the villages who are usually disadvantaged and shortchanged.” He added.

KSIPA is the Kogi State Agency that manages all the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIP) like the Home Grown Feeding, GEEP, Market Moni and Npower.
