Stop Exposing Your Ignorance, Ijele

The recent article titled “Like Bello, Ododo and His Goons are at it Again!” by I.D Ijele contains ridiculous accusations and misrepresentations of the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and his successor, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

It makes all sense to refute these claims with factual and reasoned arguments. Alhaji Yahaya Bello’s administration laid a solid foundation for development in Kogi State, and His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has committed to building on these achievements to ensure sustained growth. This has allowed for the consolidation of gains from the New Direction Administration and the implementation of long-term projects for the good of Kogi State.

The claim that the same cabinet members will perpetuate alleged criminal activities erroneously fails to consider the merit-based selection process employed by Alhaji Yahaya Bello and Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. Appointments are made based on qualifications and performance, with the aim of delivering the best outcomes for the people of Kogi State. Contrary to these allegations of criminal activities, both Bello and Ododo have championed initiatives to promote good governance and transparently cut down the cost of governance in Kogi State. Reappointing a performing individual serves this purpose.

The accusation regarding Kogi State printing election materials is not only baseless and senseless, but also an attempt to compromise the credibility of the electoral process for the forthcoming LGC elections. The printing press does not belong to APC, it belongs to the people of Kogi State. It is worthy of note that election materials in Nigeria are printed at the Nigerian Security and Minting Company, a credible institution comparable to Kogi State’s printing press. Even if this quotation is real, it is not a crime.

It is also crucial to highlight that the quality of the two papers used as evidence in the demarketing piece does not even correlate. I. D. Ijele, the time for using propaganda as a demarketing tool to stir up emotions is over. The more you try, the more your ignorance on critical issues is exposed. It’s time to focus on constructive dialogue and efforts to make Kogi a better place. No amount of distraction can deter the people’s governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

His administration respects the rule of law, and undermining the Nigerian judicial system is an insult to the sovereign Nigerian state. It is essential to avoid unwarranted emotional responses and allow the courts to perform their duties without undue interference.

It is unfortunate that the SDP has continued to allow someone who lacks basic reasoning skills to speak for it.
