Restates Total Support For Tinubu’s Administration

Governor Ahmed Ododo of Kogi state has said that he will continue total support to President Bola Tinubu’s Administration from the beginning to the end.

Speaking on Tuesday while empowering 500 women and youths in poultry, value chain, and credit support, a World Bank Assisted programme through Livestock Productivity & Resilience Project (L-PRES), the Governor noted that President Tinubu met the present economy hardship and he has been doing his best to fix it.

According to him, the people of Nigeria should rally round Mr. President so that he can solve the hardship that people are currently facing.

He commended him for his laudable programmes since he assumed office as the President of the country.

“I will continue to support President Tinubu from the beginning to end. He is trying and we must support him, what ever the nation is facing today has been there before President Tinubu become the President. We just have to support him

“As a state, we will continue to support his laudable initiative in making Nigeria great. To those Nigerians who are bent on violent protests, let reasoning prevail. We are making progress. We are moving forward. Our hopes are back. We are climbing back to reckoning. Any violent protest at a time like this will no doubt reverse our gain in the past 13 months.

“The intent of the promoters of protest in Nigeria are concealed in political desperation. I call on all the youth of our day nation to rise behind Mr. President in his determination to fix the nation back on track. Thank you and God bless you.”

He assured the President that Kogi State will never be part of the coming protest adding that he see no reason why Kogi State should join.

“I don’t know how to appreciate Mr. President. The president of HADA is helping me. God brought him because of me alone. Mr. President is doing a lot for us, we the younger ones, men and women.”

The governor who gave N100,000 naira each for the 500 beneficiaries said the state government will continue to encourage farming in the state.

“We are determined to achieve the project development objective here in Kogi state. Let me seize this moment to congratulate the 500 women and youth poultry farmers and entrepreneurs selected as beneficiaries of this lovely project following the rigorous selection process in accordance with World Bank standard.

“Your selection is a clear testament that your immense contribution to the public value chain in your various communities. I say a big thank you to our dependable development partners, the World Bank, the tax team leader, and the National Project Coordinator of the L- PRESS Project in Nigeria, as well as the Kogi L- PRESS Project Management Team for their indomitable commitment and determination to launch Kogi State into the big league of livestock producers.”

Earlier, the Kogi State Coordinator of L-PRES, Dr. Olufemi Bolarinwa noted that the programme is aimed at improving livestock Productivity and commercialization of value chains and strengthening the country capacity to respond to any emergency.

He urged all the beneficiaries to make the best of this golden opportunity to transform the livestock industry in Kogi State.

Also speaking, the Kogi State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Timothy Ojomah denied the allegations in a viral video that the state diverted palliatives meant to cushion the current economic hardship in the country.

Ojomah explained that the viral video is the hand work of mischief makers who are determined to rubbish the good image of the present administration in Kogi State under the leadership of Ododo.
