Nigeria Army Visits Nigeria-Korea Institute, Explores Collaboration »

The personnel and officers of the 12th Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Lokoja, led by it’s Commander, Brigadier General Oluremi Fadairo, yesterday conducted a working visit to the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology (NKFI). This visit was aimed at inspecting facilities and identifying potential areas for collaboration between the institute and the Nigerian Army headquarters.

The commander remarked on the exceptional quality of the facilities at the Institute, stressing their world-class standards and drawing a comparison to the Tata Institute of Technology in India. He also urged the institution to place greater emphasis on military innovations. “In an era where technological advancements can shift the balance of power,” he continued, “it is imperative that we foster a culture of creativity and forward-thinking among our researchers and students.”

He encouraged collaborations with leading defense technology firms and emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in tackling complex military challenges. “Imagine the potential if we harness the expertise of engineers, computer scientists, and strategists working together,” he said, his voice filled with conviction.

The commander concluded his address by outlining a vision for the future, where the Institute not only serves as a training ground for officers but also as a hub for groundbreaking military research and development. “Let us aspire to not only keep pace with global advancements but to lead the way in military innovation,” he urged, leaving the audience inspired and motivated to rise to the challenge.
