Albarka Relief Foundation Empowers Indigent Children with Educational Support »

The Albarka Relief Foundation (ARF) has once again extended its philanthropic hand to indigent children across Kogi Central and Lokoja. The Foundation, known for its focus on education, clean water (WASH), women empowerment, youth development, and charitable causes, recently went round to empower its beneficiaries with essential educational support such as school uniforms, bags, textbooks, notebooks and pen for the new academic session.

Over the past three years, ARF has taken a leading role in providing scholarships to underprivileged children, ensuring they receive quality education despite their families’ financial constraints. The organization currently supports over 47 children, with scholarships ranging from primary to tertiary institutions.

At a recent event, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Hajiya Juwaretu A. Musa, emphasized the importance of grassroots support for education. “Our mission is clear, to ensure that no child is denied access to education due to financial incapability. These children represent the future, and we are committed to their growth,” she stated.

Hajiya Juwaretu noted that ARF remains steadfast in its belief that education is a powerful tool for social change and economic empowerment. She called on other well-meaning individuals and organizations to join ARF in its quest to uplift vulnerable children. She stressed that the foundation is open to partnerships that will further extend its reach and impact, especially in the areas of women and youth empowerment.

During the program, children from Kogi Central and Lokoja received educational materials and financial support for their school fees, ensuring they are well-prepared for the new school session. Parents and guardians expressed their gratitude to the Foundation for relieving them of the financial burden that often hinders their children’s education.

“The support from ARF has been a lifesaver for my family. I can now send my children to school without worrying about how to cover the costs,” said one grateful parent during the event.
