Hon. Ogah Mark Okpanachi Congratulates Newly Elected LG Chairmen, Urges Leadership in Line with APC’s Renewed Hope Agenda

Hon. Ogah Mark Okpanachi, the Chief Executive Officer of Anarock Global Services, Abuja, and a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the 21 newly elected local government chairmen following the successful conclusion of the local government elections in Kogi State. In particular, he extended special recognition to the newly elected chairman of Ibaji Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Ugeh, his own chairman. His congratulatory message resonated with the collective aspirations of the people of Ibaji, emphasizing the need for a forward-looking, people-centered governance structure.

In his address, Hon. Ogah charged the new local government chairmen to view their victory not just as an electoral win but as a sacred mandate to lead with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to improving the lives of the citizens. He implored them to demonstrate an unwavering resolve in promoting developmental agendas that align with the broader vision of the APC under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. According to him, the leadership of the chairmen must reflect the tenets of the “Renewed Hope” agenda championed by the President, which seeks to reposition Nigeria for inclusive development, economic prosperity, and social justice.

Hon. Ogah’s message highlighted the importance of effective grassroots leadership in consolidating the achievements of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, whose administration has been characterized by infrastructural development, improved staff welfare, and governance reforms in Kogi State. He emphasized that the newly elected chairmen are expected to transmit these developmental strides at the local level by initiating and implementing policies that would further the socioeconomic development of their respective local governments. This includes fostering unity among the people, supporting local industries, enhancing educational opportunities, and improving healthcare systems.

He further urged the local government leaders to remain steadfast in their loyalty to the APC’s ideals and structure, stressing that the strength of the party lies in its unity and shared vision for the people. Hon. Ogah reminded them that leadership at the local level is critical to sustaining the APC’s political dominance, both in Kogi State and nationally. He encouraged them to work closely with party leaders, stakeholders, and the citizenry to ensure that the APC’s mandate is not only maintained but strengthened through tangible results that resonate with the people’s needs and aspirations.

Reflecting on the broader political landscape, Hon. Ogah noted that the governance style espoused by President Tinubu and Governor Ododo offers a unique opportunity for local governments to rise to their true potential as agents of change. He argued that local government chairmen, as custodians of grassroots governance, have the dual responsibility of both representing the people and acting as the first point of contact in delivering the party’s promises of development, equity, and justice. In doing so, they will further consolidate the APC’s influence and demonstrate the party’s commitment to improving the lives of all Nigerians.

In closing, Hon. Ogah reaffirmed his confidence in the ability of the newly elected chairmen to deliver on their promises and build a legacy of good governance that will positively impact future generations. He urged them to approach their responsibilities with diligence, foresight, and a sense of accountability, reiterating that the future of Kogi State, and indeed Nigeria, rests on their shoulders as leaders at the local level.

By aligning their leadership with the “Renewed Hope” vision of President Tinubu and the developmental agenda of Governor Ododo, Hon. Ogah believes that Kogi State is on the cusp of a new era of progress, where the dividends of democracy will be felt by all, especially at the grassroots level. The newly elected chairmen must now seize the opportunity to lead with purpose, ensuring that the trust bestowed upon them by the electorate is not only preserved but transformed into meaningful action for the betterment of their communities.
