Governor Ododo Lauded for Continuing Bello Care Program
…as Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna is named as one of the best legislators from Kogi State.
Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has received praise from Amb. Abdulkadir Ismaila Abdullahi, a part-time Board Member of the Kogi State Health Insurance Agency, for sustaining the Bello Care program initiated by his predecessor, Alh. Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
The Bello Care program is a health insurance initiative aimed at providing medical coverage to vulnerable members of society, ensuring they don’t suffer financially while accessing healthcare. The program has been funded by the state government since its inception.
Governor Ododo’s decision to continue the program demonstrates his commitment to the well-being of Kogi State’s citizens, particularly the less privileged. During a recent sensitization visit to Iyale Ward, Amb. Abdullahi expressed gratitude to the governor for his efforts in maintaining the program’s continuity.
In addition to sustaining the Bello Care program, Governor Ododo has also announced plans to establish 63 primary healthcare centers across the state, with three centers in each of the 21 local government areas. This initiative aims to enhance healthcare services in rural areas and improve accessibility for residents.
Amb. Abdullahi also commended Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna, Member Representing Bassa/Dekina federal constituency, for attracting an ongoing road construction project, describing him as one of the best legislators in the state.
