The spirit of Christmas in Idah, the cradle of Igala civilization, was further enriched on December 27, 2024, as two prominent leaders in the Igala Kingdom reaffirmed their commitment to unity, progress, and development. At a celebratory gathering in honor of the season, the Executive Chairman of Igalamela Local Government, Hon. Cosmas Atabo, warmly welcomed Hon. Mark Okpanachi Ogah, a philanthropist and advocate for youth development, to Idah.

In his address, Hon. Cosmas Atabo revealed a deeply personal account of Hon. Ogah’s quiet but impactful contribution to his campaign during the recent local government elections in Kogi State. The chairman expressed profound gratitude, noting that Mark’s support was given out of sheer love for progress and unwavering commitment to the betterment of the Igala Kingdom.

“Mark had no reason to support my campaign but for his selfless love for our kingdom and his belief in the power of collective progress. Such acts of generosity and vision deserve acknowledgment, especially during this season of goodwill,” Atabo said.

True to his humble nature, Hon. Mark Okpanachi Ogah modestly requested that his contributions remain private. “The little I did was not for recognition but for the love of our people and the dream of a united and prosperous Igala Kingdom,” he remarked.
