Kogi SDP Youth Leader Commends Gov Ododo for Establishing Livestock Development Ministry
The Acting Youth Leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi State, Prince Ameh Nuhu Okpanachi, has praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the creation of the Ministry of Livestock Development.
Prince Ameh described the move as a timely and innovative step towards addressing poverty and unemployment, particularly among youths who have been severely impacted by the current economic challenges.
He lauded Governor Ododo’s foresight in prioritizing economic diversification and food security, noting that the initiative will provide meaningful opportunities for young people and reduce youth unemployment across the state.
“Even as an opposition youth leader, I must commend Governor Ododo for this insightful initiative of creating the Ministry of Livestock Development. Its successful impact will be felt across party lines,” Prince Ameh stated.
He further emphasized that being in the opposition does not mean constant confrontation with the ruling government. According to him, responsible opposition involves commending positive actions, offering recommendations, and holding the government accountable when necessary.
Prince Ameh expressed optimism that the newly established ministry would drive sustainable economic growth and empower youths through livestock farming and related ventures.
